USA: Air Force veteran testimony reignites debate on extraterrestrial life
Last week, the testimony of three ex-soldiers to deputies in the United States Congress reignited the debate about a possible cover-up of cases of unidentified flying objects.
The testimonies and their repercussions show part of the fascination that earthlings have for possible alien life. Fantástico talked about the topic with Avi Loeb, an astrophysicist at Harvard University. He tries to prove that microspheres of less than 1 mm in diameter collected from the bottom of the Pacific Ocean would have come from an interstellar explosion. Loeb directs an institute of theory and computation at Harvard and by his calculations, there is an intense transit of interstellar probes crossing space, in the proximity of the Earth:
“I believe that right now there are a million of these objects passing through Earth’s orbit around the Sun. But as the Earth is very small, rarely does one of them fall here.”
Loeb studies passages and falls of supposed meteors. He and his team found the microbeads in the ocean and believe they are the remnants of an interstellar object. For him, a next step is “to know if they are made of a material that exists in the Solar System — or not”
The astrophysicist believes that if he manages to prove that the analyzed material does not exist in the Solar System, he will also prove that there is intelligent life outside our planet. Watch the full report in the VIDEO above.
