USA: ADL Offers $5,000 Reward To Find Perpetrators Of Anti-Semitic Attacks In Brooklyn

The ADL (Anti-Defamation League) announced on Sunday that it was offering a reward of up to 5,000 dollars (about 4,700 euros) for information that could lead to the arrest of individuals responsible for two alleged anti-Semitic attacks against men in Jewish faith in Brooklyn, one of the boroughs of New York.

Police say the first assault took place in the Hasidic Chabad neighborhood of Crown Heights on May 6, when an individual punched an Orthodox Jew in the head and said, “The Nazis should have kill, you Jews”.

The second incident occurred on May 7 in the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Williamsburg, when a father on his way to synagogue with his children was struck in the back of the head.

“We are outraged at the multiple attacks by Orthodox Jews,” said ADL regional director Scott Richman. “Terror is spreading among Jewish communities. No one should be afraid to display their religion in public,” he said.

“Both of these attacks took place in broad daylight, and we hope witnesses will provide information. To encourage this, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the attack. arrest of those responsible,” added Scott Richman.

Anti-Semitic acts are constantly on the rise in the United States, and particularly in New York City.

A March police report said anti-Semitic acts in the city rose 400 percent in February in New York City, compared to the same period last year.
