Sheriff Adan Mendoza reports that Alex Boldvin was presented with a weapon loaded with cartridges and the firearm set available in the film “Rust” contained cartridges in several weapons, the BBC reports.

Authorities have obtained about 600 pieces of evidence related to the investigation, including three firearms and 500 rounds of ammunition.

So far no one has been arrested or charged.

“I think the facts are clear – the weapon was handed over to Mr Boldvin. The weapon is functional and was loaded with cartridges, killing Hachins and injuring Souza,” said Sheriff Adan Mendoza.

He said the firearms set available in the movie “Rust” contained cartridges in several weapons, but they have yet to be tested in a laboratory.

“We are currently investigating how the patrons got there because they shouldn’t have been there,” the sheriff added.
