They have been selling out theaters for two decades. Their songs have millions of views on YouTube. Simply Orion, Vladimir 518 and Mike Trafik aka the band Peneři uncle Homeboye. Or middle-aged rappers who have always been “different”.

The free nineties then allowed them to do what they wanted: from graffiti to music, in which they found their firm place. With her came parties, drugs, booze…

They admit that they were able to drink a bottle of hard alcohol a day because their tour was often sponsored by its producers. “The things we experienced weren’t always happy,” Vladimír 518 told the audience after the Karlovy Vary screening.

It wasn’t always happy
The documentary was filmed by director Štěpán FOK Vodrážka in cooperation with the band. A third of the script, which was prepared for several months, was then used for the end. “A lot of things aren’t there, we’d be here for a long time,” said Orion.

He added that he was moved by the picture. And he is the one who stayed only with music. Vladimír 518 and Mike Trafik built their own parallel careers during their years together, in which they also succeeded. “We played at weddings. And one day we will play at funerals. Florists and quarries will sponsor us…,” they joke at the end.

And it is their honesty combined with humor that is the most valuable thing about the documentary for the viewer. In short: don’t expect a story of peace, love for animals and harmony. But a triple portrait of friends brought together by music.
