The US is preparing new anti-Russian sanctions to hit the defense supply chain. This was announced on Tuesday, March 29, by US Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo, writes Interfax.
It is noted that Washington is planning measures against additional sectors that play a decisive role in the ability of the Russian Federation to manage its military machine. Therefore, the loss of access to them will ultimately undermine Russia’s ability to create and maintain tools of war.
In addition, measures are also planned for companies operating in sectors that keep the war afloat to disrupt their critical supply chains.
“We will take these actions in coordination with more than 30 partners and allies who have joined our coalition in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine,” the statement said.
