Demonstrators in Cianjur Regency threatened to call for a boycott of the PDI-P during the election momentum if Arteria Dahlan was not fired. The reason is that Arteria’s statement regarding the Prosecutor’s Office spoke Sundanese offending the Sundanese people.
Cianjur Community Leader Deni Sunarya said that Arteria Dahlan’s statement offended the Sundanese people, especially in West Java. Even though Sunda is also a part of historical benchmarks and part of the diversity of the Republic of Indonesia.
“With these words, the hatred was spread towards Dahlan (Arteria Dahlan) who spoke arbitrarily. Including demonstrations in various areas, one of which was in Cianjur. This is the aftermath of Dahlan’s statement,” he said, Friday (21/1). /2022).
The man who is familiarly called Mang Gawel urged PDIP to immediately fire Arteria Dahlan. If not, the public will boycott and not vote for PDIP in elections, including the 2024 election.
“This incident will not be forgotten, and perhaps as a result in 2024 people will not vote for PDIP. Even if they are not fired, the community will automatically boycott PDIP without being ordered,” he said.
In line with the Chairman of the Cianjur Wargi Association, Raden Sulaiman, said that the people in Tatar Sunda, including Cianjur, would see and judge an Arteria Dahlan if he saw that his position was beyond dignity.
“The Republic of Indonesia was also injured by this statement from Mang Dahlan,” he said.
According to him, Arteria Dahlan will be the fruit of simalakama for the PDIP, the article is that if the demands of the community are not responded to or realized there will be an explosion or other movement that will affect the PDIP.
“If there is no response, we will call for it and even the PDIP boycott movement will emerge automatically,” he said.
Stay Optimistic People Support PDIP in Cianjur
Meanwhile, the chairman of the DPC PDIP Cianjur district, Susilawati, said the boycott movement or the current buzz regarding the Sunda hashtag without PDIP was irrelevant to the Arteria Dahlan case.
“It’s just a person, irrelevant and has nothing to do with the party. After all, we’ve made pressure for Arteria to be fired. This includes signing the petition as a form of our defense of culture,” he said.
“The community will definitely support PDIP,” he added.
