JAKARTA – Seascape Alaska Expedition Team 5 found a mysterious golden egg on the ocean floor. The exact composition and origin of these objects is not yet known.
The mysterious golden egg was found at a depth of 3.1 kilometers, embedded in a rocky surface. Uniquely, this object has a hole in it.
Use robot Now, researchers are investigating the golden egg more closely. The researchers carefully vacuumed up the strange pile of discs embedded in the sea wall.
“I just hope when we poke it, nothing comes out,” said a member of the expedition team quoted from the Miami Herald, Wednesday (6/9/2023).

Although many mysteries surround the identity of the object, one thing is certain that this object is a rarity in the deep sea. “When our collective knowledge can’t identify it, it’s something strange,” said another member of the team.
Expedition Seascape Alaska 5 began on August 23, crossing waters from Kodiak, Alaska, to Seward. The expedition team focused on marine habitats below 200 meters (656 feet), to depths of 6,000 meters (19,685 feet), and mapped the environment within them.
“To explore deep-sea coral and sponge habitats, fish habitats, chemosynthetic communities, and the water column and to increase knowledge about past and potential Earth hazards,” said the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
