Marine biologists reported the find of an unusual seahorse off the coast of Plymouth Sound, in England, made earlier this month.
The rare fish was spotted on the seafloor on June 4 and would be the spiny type.
According to experts in ocean conservation, the population of seahorses has been diminished by changes in the environment and the progressive destruction of the marine vegetation that makes up their habitat.
Regarding the discovery of this “spiny” horse, the experts insisted on the importance of protecting the oceanic flora to protect the species.
