There was an unusual moment at an event marking the 69th anniversary of the Korean War armistice in Pyongyang, North Korea (North Korea). That unusual moment was Ri Sol-Ju, wife of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un cry at that important event.
Reported CNN and Reuters, Tuesday (2/8/2022), the moment Ri Sol-Ju shed tears was caught on camera. Ri Sol-Ju cried right next to her husband, Kim Jong-Un.
Report CNN citing video footage published by North Korea’s state television, KRT, on Thursday (28/7) said the North Korean first lady appeared to be crying while singing the North Korean national anthem. It looks like Ri Sol-Ju blinked his eyes quickly to keep his tears from falling.

The same video footage also shows Kim Jong-Un’s eyes tearing up as he sings his country’s national anthem.
Other North Korean officials seen in the video also seemed moved when the North Korean national anthem sounded.
The 69th anniversary of the Korean War armistice was celebrated with great fanfare in Pyongyang, with various events taking place. A massive and lively fireworks display was held on the eve of the anniversary, there were also aerobatic performances by North Korean fighter jet pilots.
