Without forgetting also, of course, his second job this season, namely his great debut in World Endurance WEC, where he contested the first three rounds (Sebring-Spa and Le Mans)!
The goal, the objective of the Gapencais, being in the future to triumph, at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans…
Event in which he therefore already participated last June, at the wheel of one of the Oreca 07, in the LMP2 category, the one fielded by the French team, Richard Mille.
With his two teammates, the very young Lilou Wadoux and Charles Milesi, Ogier, author of a wise race but largely at the level of his best opponents in LMP2, finally finished in a more than honorable thirteenth place in the final general classification. , all categories combined and the ninth – out of twenty seven – of his own, that of the LMP2s!
Since the Le Mans event, Sébastien Ogier has, and as he hinted at the start of the season, put a temporary end to the WEC programme, contenting himself now with competing for one or two more WRC rallies!
In the meantime, he enjoys life… This week he was with his parents in Champsaur, above Gap, come to recharge his batteries in the Alpine mountains which saw him grow up.
Sébastien currently lives with his wife, Andréa Kaiser, the TV presenter, and their son, in Germany, near Lake Constance.
And, before that, last weekend, he was invited to New York, the city where the American round of the Formula e electric single-seater world championship was taking place.
The opportunity for Ogier to settle down after the race at the wheel of one of his single-seaters and to discover a new discipline for him!
