An exhibition on the life story of Bagnolais: “Many confided in their difficult childhood”

Bagnolais’ stories were collected during the writing workshop in La Mas, accompanied by photos of objects that are close to their hearts.

During the writing workshops conducted at the Mas (Maison des alternativesolidires) in Bagnols, Christine Dubois has collected life stories from the people she meets. “At the beginning we launched the theme of migration, the origin of families, the objects of our life … and this aroused confidences“she explains.”Many confided in their difficult childhood “clike this person who remembers his little sister who slept in a chest.

Tract of life stories

These anonymous words have become stories that will be the subject of an exhibition (1) at the Bagnols media library from this Tuesday 20 September. “Since we asked people to tell us about objects that marked them or that they would take away if they were to leave in a hurry, we decided to stage their stories.“.

To read them you have to raise the photo of an object, and discover the stories of slices of life. “We came up with the idea after seeing such an exhibition at the “C’est pas du luxe” festival in Avignon.
