University Shooting in Prague: 15 Dead Victims Identified, Shooter’s Motive Unknown

TVNET already reported that the Czech authorities have identified all the victims who died in a shooting at a university in Prague on Thursday. This was announced on Friday by the Minister of the Interior Viets Rakušan.

The minister said that there are no foreign citizens among the victims.

14 victims have been identified. The shooter also died, making a total of 15 deaths, Rakushan said.

He added that 25 people were injured, including two people from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and one person from the Netherlands.

The shooter was a university student. The shooting took place at the Faculty of Philosophy of Karls University in Jan Palach Square.

The motive for the attack has not yet been determined. Police believe the shooter also killed his father and young daughter before the attack.

Rakushan said the shooter legally owned a gun and had no prior convictions.
