Universal Robots expands its network of authorized training centers in Extremadura

Zafra’s Deutz Business School Foundation obtains the certificate of the world leader in the manufacture of cobots and becomes the most advanced center in the Iberian Southwest to provide training in collaborative environments and Industry 4.0.

Universal Robots, a world leader in the manufacture of collaborative robots, expands its training network to Extremadura with the incorporation of Deutz Business School as the Authorized Training Center of the brand.

The Deutz Business School Foundation is an independent non-profit institution whose main objective is to promote the economic and professional development of Extremadura and its surroundings, through quality technical, competence and executive training that contributes to generating innovation and providing new profiles professionals, demanded both by the business community and by public entities.

With the obtaining of the certificate by Universal Robots, the school, created at the end of 2018 in Zafra, becomes the most advanced center in the Iberian Southwest to provide training in collaborative environments and in Industry 4.0 in general.

“This new alliance with Universal Robots allows us to have a highly specialized training school together with an industrial plant that already employs and trains its workers in these technologies. Its application in a real industrial environment is the best example to demonstrate that these professional profiles are today among the most demanded by the industry, since their competitiveness and future viability largely depend on it ”, states Carolina Grau, director from the center.

Professionalism guarantee

To obtain the certificate as an authorized center, Deutz Business School has passed an exhaustive evaluation process aimed at demonstrating that there is a decided commitment on the part of the school’s management team and also that it has state-of-the-art facilities in accordance with the requirements demanded by the Universal Robots formations. The school’s teachers, technicians with extensive experience in advanced manufacturing technologies, have undergone a training and certification process in English taught by the firm to learn the handling and all the applications of the cobot acquired by the center for the courses. They have also had to acquire didactic skills designed to offer practical, enjoyable and useful training for any user.

With this collaboration agreement, Universal Robots expands its national borders in its firm commitment to training and lands for the first time in this autonomous community with Deutz Business School as a partner. Thus, since last December, the new authorized center has incorporated the training of the leading company in the manufacture of cobots in its program.

These are face-to-face training aimed at anyone who, even if he or she does not have previous programming knowledge, wants to deepen the programming and management of cobots. The only requirement is to complete a short free online Universal Robots training. The two-day courses are taught in person at two levels, Core and Advanced. These are completed with more specific courses that require at least to have passed the Core: Industrial Communications, Interfaces, Service and Security.

Starting in March 2021, Deutz Business School will offer the first CORE level courses. In 2022, the school plans to certify its teachers in Advanced training and start offering these courses for more advanced industrial users.
