The trade deficit increased by 6.7 per cent from the previous month, when it was NOK 627 billion.
The previous record was set in March this year, when the trade deficit for the first time exceeded 75 billion dollars, which is equivalent to 662.5 billion kroner at today’s exchange rate.
US exports to the rest of the world increased by 0.5 per cent in June, compared with the previous month. However, imports increased by 2.1 per cent.
The United States’ total trade deficit in the first half of this year was NOK 3,782 billion, an increase of 46.4 per cent from the first half of last year.
