The three men believe that they do not have to justify their presence. The man, who identifies himself as Tom Austin, picks up the phone and calls the police to have them vacated. To local media American, Tom Austin explains that he would not have called the police but the security of the building. He also said that he would not have asked them to be there because of their skin color but because they did not all have a badge to enter the gym. An assertion denied by the three men.

The altercation was filmed by one of the athletes and posted on their Instagram account on May 27. It has exceeded one million views and has been loved more than 70,000 times.
