Around 1 p.m. last Sunday, a man appeared in front of the gates of the police station in Place Suquet in Dijon. According to our information, while he had applied for asylum some time ago, which is still being processed, he wanted to be returned to his country, with financial assistance.
Around € 6,000 of damage
Not having obtained satisfaction of this last request, he decided to take revenge against the police station, by throwing several stones against the facade and more specifically against the recently renovated doors. There is about 6,000 euros of damage.
This 25-year-old Congolese, living in Lyon (Rhône), was arrested and taken into police custody. He will be summoned before the criminal court.
