“Today, in an informal meeting, I informed the head of Primorsko about my concerns about refugees from Ukraine in the Primorsko municipality. My children have repeatedly told disturbing stories about slightly older Ukrainian children.
For some time now, I have been receiving signals from parents concerned about the same issue. It turns out that the school yard is a meeting place for Ukrainian children who harass students from our school with indecent behavior, persecution and other verbal threats.
I drew Mr. Grudov’s attention to this problem by urging the patrol car to go around the school more often. Accordingly, if there are parents with children involved in such an incident, please notify the police.
In general, in Primorsko we are well guarded, sometimes even too much. It is understandable because of our strategic place and the flow of Syrian refugees, who are often caught crossing the Bulgarian border illegally.
Primorsko Municipality allocates sufficient financial resources for seconded police officers from all over the country, given the summer season. To date, nearly 7,000 refugees reside in the municipality. This requires twice as much police work, including one involved in registration and law enforcement in the municipality.
I call for increased attention of the local population. Let us not forget that the refugees we have welcomed are guests who must abide by our rules and in no way should we be worried about their stay here, especially when it comes to children.
Of course, if these events are repeated, it should be clear to everyone that every action is equal in magnitude and opposite in direction. “
