London – UK father sentenced to 15 years in prison for murdering six-month-old baby David Holley, 29, from Walsall, West Midlands, beat the baby to death. Birmingham Crown Court handed down the sentence. Holik unleashed violence against his son Kairo at home at night. When the police found Cairo, who was seriously injured in the attack, he was struggling to breathe.
Cairo died at Birmingham Children’s Hospital on February 12, 2020, three days after the attack. The baby was severely shaken and his head hit the wall twice causing death. The prosecution stated in the court that the brain was injured in the violence. Medical experts have confirmed that the baby’s injuries were a result of severe violence. The prosecutor told the court that this was because Holly was supervising Cairo at that point.
The father argued that the injury was caused by an accident. But the prosecution pointed out that it was his own father who took his own life in a serious act of violence. Cairo was the second child of Hollick and his wife, Adina Johnson. After the baby was born, the two separated. But both of them had to share the responsibility of the children. But looking after children turned out to be something Holik did not like. The initial assessment is that this may have been the cause of the murder
