Texans are busy

The Houston Texans have moved twice rather than once in trading with the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots.

This is what the ESPN network reported on Sunday.

Initially, the Texas club sent linebacker Benardrick McKinney to Florida squad against defensive lineman Shaq Lawson, as well as sixth and seventh round picks in the upcoming NFL draft.

McKinney was limited to just four games in 2020, but he has amassed at least 100 tackles in three of his last five campaigns.

For his part, Lawson had seven starts with the Dolphins last year, including four sacks. Since being drafted in the first round (19th overall) of the 2016 auction, the pivot hunter has been limited to 24 starts and has been in uniform for 64 games.

Later in the day, the Texans secured offensive lineman Marcus Cannon from the Patriots. According to the daily “Boston Globe” the two teams would also have exchanged their selections of fourth and sixth round for the next auction of the Goodell circuit.

The 32-year-old right tackle did not play in the 2020 campaign due to COVID-19. He was a member of the “Pats” since the 2011 campaign and has won the Super Bowl three times.
