“UK Donates Long-Range Storm Shadow Missiles to Ukraine for Defense Against Russia”

UK sends long-range Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraineaccording to the British Defense Secretary, Ben Wallace.

The donation of these weapons systems offers Ukraine the best chance to defend itself, said Wallace, quoted by local media.

This missile represents a true game changer from a scope perspective and gives kyiv the capability requested since the beginning of the conflict with Russia, added, for his part, a senior US official.

According to a government source, London received guarantees from Volodymyr Zelensky’s executive that it will only use these missiles inside Ukrainian territory and not in Russia.

The Storm Shadow is an aerial cruise missile with a range of more than 250 kilometers with stealth capabilities, jointly developed by the United Kingdom and France.

So far, the current maximum range of weapons supplied by the US to Ukraine is about 79 kilometers, detailed CNN.

Last Tuesday, The Washington Post reported on this new donation and specified that the Storm Shadows can be mounted on Soviet-made Ukrainian aircraft.

In this regard, the Kremlin considered the supply of this type of weapon to kyiv by London as “very negative.”

This, assured the Russian presidential spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, will require a adequate response from the military who will take the appropriate decisions in this context.

A few weeks ago, Zelensky ensured the launch by his Armed Forces of a counteroffensive against the Russian Army.

In this sense, Yevgueni Prigózhin, founder of the Russian private military group Wagner, confirmed the start of this Ukrainian offensive in different parts of the country.
