UFRESA: a symposium announced from November 5 to 19 in Ivory Coast – AGP

Libreville, September 28, 2023 (AGP) – This major meeting, initiated by the Union of Women Reporters of Africa (UFRESA), will be held in Abidjan on the theme: “what place for women in sports journalism in Africa?” Issues, challenges and perspectives”.

This symposium will take place on the sidelines of the Women’s Champions League scheduled to be held from November 5 to 19, 2023 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The said meeting will take place all day on November 3 and will be structured in the form of plenary sessions, round tables as well as interactive workshops. During which the various panelists will discuss the impact of women sports reporters on the development of sport and their empowerment in sport, initiatives aimed at encouraging the participation of women sports reporters, the challenges as well as the opportunities available to them. them in the sports industry.

The objective of this symposium is to “bring together women sports reporters, sports experts, political leaders, decision-makers in the field of sport, as well as media representatives to discuss the role and place of women sports reporters in the development of sport,” informs us in the UFRESA press release, of which the AGP received a copy.

UFRESA Gabon during the celebration of its 10th anniversary intends to take part in this symposium.
