U2 leader Bono gave a concert at the metro station in Kiev

“The people of Ukraine are fighting not only for their freedom, but for all of us who love freedom,” Bono said.

He expressed hope that the Ukrainians will soon be able to enjoy peace again.

The performance was attended by a small crowd, including several soldiers, one of whom was invited by Bono to sing the song “Stand by me” together.

The Bono concert was accompanied by U2 guitarist “The Edge”.
