Votes after the match

Miroslav Mosnár, coach SR 18: “The girls tried, but the Swedes kept the puck on their sticks for a much longer time. They were able to be more direct, push more into the goal and create more scoring opportunities. We have a very young team at the championship. And considering that, I can state that in the match We did our best. It’s a shame that we conceded the first two goals in a weakened state and that one of the goals, which came after a shot from the blue line, we unfortunately knocked into our own goal.

We wanted to rely a little more on a secure defense. In terms of defensive play, at the end of the day it wasn’t too bad from our side, unfortunately the Swedish shots were accurate and well timed. We regret that we did not play a better result despite the great quality of the opponents. However, it was definitely a match that the girls will remember well.

As for Nela Lopušanová, she has already flashed such a goal several times this season, most recently against the Japanese women in the preparatory tournament in Finland in December. It wasn’t that much of a surprise for us to see her finish like this. We are used to it. Nela believes in herself, she has trained well and it looks good. The audience likes it, of course. Now we have the last match and our goal is clear – to win it.”

Playoff for retention – 1st match:

Switzerland – Japan 5:0 (1:0, 0:0, 4:0)
