Two shots, two cut in New York night chaos

The Big Apple’s bloodshed left two people shot dead and two others injured in separate incidents across the city overnight.

A man in his thirties entered Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn with a gunshot wound to his chest just before 5:30 am on Saturday, the NYPD said.

The victim, who sustained non-fatal injuries, was shot at at the corner of Rockaway Parkway and Church Avenue, police said. She did not explain how he was shot, authorities said. There were no arrests.

At around 10:30 pm on Friday, a 38-year-old man was shot in the left foot during an altercation on Third Avenue near East 118th Street in East Harlem, police said. The victim was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital with non-fatal injuries, police said. There were no arrests.

Separately, two men were injured in a stabbing at the Times Square subway station early Saturday.

A man was arrested after stabbing a 23-year-old victim in the chest and leg during a melee at the station, police said. The 22-year-old suspect, whom police described as “the assailant,” had a head cut that could have been self-inflicted.
