Two prisoners in a network of gasoline smuggling in Perijá

Two people were at the command of the Prosecutor’s Office for extractive smuggling after a procedure carried out by officials of the Rosario Police Coordination Center, under the command of Commissioner Gilberto Hidalgo.

Those arrested were identified as Johan Martínez, 30, and Second Sergeant (Ex) Amalfi Valencia, 33, who they said was “one of those in charge of supervising the supply of fuel dispatch in the perijanera town.”

The incident occurred in the Jalisco sector, El Rosario parish, specifically in the parking lot of a transport cooperative in the Rosario de Perijá municipality.

Among the evidences, said the police force, it was possible to seize two pimpinas from the PDVSA company, three private vehicles, 450 liters of fuel packed in two 200-liter pipes, two 20-liter pimp each and a 10-liter pimp .

The procedure was carried out this Friday, August 8, after an operation carried out by Polirosario.

According to the police version, in the early morning hours a phone call was received from a cooperant, who reported that in the Jalisco sector, in the cooperative, there were some PDVSA gandolas and the drivers of those gandolas were extracting fuel (gasoline) and emptying it into pimpinas.

“We immediately went to the place where there were two vehicles, type gandola belonging to the state company, several citizens were also observed, who were extracting the fuel from those gandolas to pack in pipes and pimpinas. We gave the voice of stop to the citizens and they ran and jumped the rear perimeter fence, for which a chase on foot began, but it was unsuccessful.

We managed to arrest a man who identified himself as Johan Martínez and we learned that those who escaped were the drivers of the two gandolas, while the detainee was the brother-in-law of one of them, who had hired him to help him steal fuel for later illegal sale “, explained police spokesmen.

In the place they seized several personal documents and also 4 fuel dispatch invoices, in which it is specified that the aforementioned gandolas had unloaded gasoline at the La Principal and 104 service stations, in the Sixto Zambrano parish.

When continuing with the inquiries it was known that “one of the gandolas on August 6 left at 2:30 am for dispatch, loaded with 3 compartments for a total of 37,000 liters, to empty 23,317 liters at the La Principal gas station and 13,551 liters at station 104. This was driven by a man named Alvarado.

And in the second tank, driven by a man named Olivero, they had loaded – on August 4 – 38,000 liters of diesel to unload 24,000 liters at the 40 kilometer service station and 1,400 liters at the Autódromo service station ” .

In the company of the director of Polirosario, Commissioner Gilberto Hidalgo, the acting officials went to the battalion of the Bolivarian Army 122 Caribe, where they met with its commander, who was asked for information about the person in charge of supervising and controlling the fuel emptying. at the pumps

“He reported that the person in charge for the date was Second Sergeant Amalfi Valencia, who was detained preventively for inquiries.”

Polirosario informed the Prosecutor 41 of the procedure and under this instance the detainees and the seized elements were left.
