Challenging weather conditions for the relief crew

Four helicopters have been sent to the landslide area.

– Bell helicopter from the Armed Forces, Air Ambulance helicopter, Coast Guard helicopter that was nearby and SAR Queen rescue helicopter from Banak, says Ringen.

In addition, rescue dogs and volunteer helpers are in place.

However, due to heavy snow, there are challenges in transporting the relief crew.

The police are now working on a plan on how to transport the aid crew into the area.

The avalanche has hit Daltinden, just west of Furuflaten in Lyngen. Daltinden is known as one of the most visited ski mountains in the Lyngen Alps.
