Two men aged 25 and 60 were sentenced by the Strasbourg court to respectively 15 months in prison, including 4 months in prison and 11 months suspended sentence for corruption of a minor on a 9-year-old girl, the judicial police announced on Friday. .
The two men, without link between them, were tried Thursday in immediate appearance of the counts of corruption of minors, sexual proposition to minors of (less than) 15 years old, and possession of child pornography images.
They had come into contact on the internet, via a dating site, with a 9-year-old girl, whose presentation photo “left no doubt about her age”, indicates the zonal direction of the Eastern judicial police in a press release.
They exchanged “written messages, photos and videos of an overtly sexual nature” with her.
The 60-year-old man, a disabled high school teacher, had denied the facts in police custody, before remaining silent in front of “the damning elements presented against him”.
He was sentenced to 15 months in prison, 4 of which were firm with a committal warrant.
The other defendant, who admitted the facts in police custody while claiming not to have been aware of the minority of the victim, received a suspended sentence of 11 months.
Digital files of a child pornographic nature were found in the phones and computers of the two defendants seized during searches.
The judicial police praised “the vigilance of the father of the family” which made it possible “to put an end to prohibited acts, of which many minors can be victims on social networks”.
“On this occasion, it can be recalled the usefulness of limiting Internet access to children by activating parental filters”, underlined the PJ.
