In a serious car accident on the B42 in the Rhein-Lahn district south of Koblenz, two men were killed on Saturday evening. Three others suffered serious injuries.
As the police announced, the car had come off the road and crashed head-on against a wall of a railway underpass. Then the vehicle was thrown against a guardrail and stopped on the main road between Kamp-Bornhofen and Kestert. Firefighters freed the seriously injured from the wrecked car. The ambulance took them to clinics.
Inmates come from the Rhein-Lahn district and Hesse
The vehicle occupants between the ages of 24 and 41 come from the Rhein-Lahn district and from municipalities in Hesse. Why the car came off the main road has not yet been clarified. Other vehicles were apparently not involved in the accident, it said.
