Two dead and one injured in a traffic accident at Goeree-Overflakkee | NOW

In a serious traffic accident in the place Dirksland on Goeree-Overflakkee, two people were killed on Friday evening and a third person was injured. A possible fourth victim is still being sought, a police spokesperson told NU.nl.

Two cars were involved in the accident, which took place at around 10.30 pm on the Oudelandsedijk in its place. Photos show that one vehicle ended up in a ditch, the other car hit a tree.

According to Rijnmond the driver of one of the cars would have been arrested for drunk driving. Both vehicles would have Polish registration plates.

It is not yet known how the cars collided. The police say they have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
