The new academic year 2022-2023 starts next Saturday, October 1st, and parents and students of state, official and international schools wait at the beginning of each academic year to know the dates of the official holidays.
The first official holiday for students and teachers arrives on Thursday 6 October 2022, on the occasion of the anniversary of the victory of the October War.
Teachers and students also get an official holiday on Saturday, October 8, on the Prophet’s birthday, and midweek holidays are shifted to Thursdays, as recently approved by the government.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Education and Technical Education recently denied the start of the new school year for grades from first to third primary before the date established by the Ministry for the start of studies on 1 October 2022.
The new school year 2022/2023 will be launched on 1 October 2022 for official and official language schools and for private and private language schools, amid strict safety and precautionary measures; To maintain the educational process.
The time map for the 2022-2023 academic year showed that the number of weeks for the academic year is approximately 35, as follows:
The beginning of the first semester from 1 October 2022 to Thursday 26 January 2023.
The beginning of the exams of the first semester on Sunday 14 January 2023.
The beginning of the second semester from Saturday 11 February 2023 to Thursday 8 June.
Saturday, June 3, 2023, the beginning of the exams of the second semester for the transport and preparatory certificate classes.
The technical maturity exams begin on Saturday 8 July 2023.
The final exams begin on Saturday 10 June 2023.
The last week is devoted to review for all grades.
– The duration of the days of the first semester is 98 days after the elimination of the Friday and the public holiday.
– The duration of the days of the second semester is 96 days after the elimination of Fridays and holidays.
Actual school days are 194 days, which equates to 35 weeks.
The examination period for the first and second semester is considered within the actual study days, and is calculated within the attendance rate established by law.
The six-month holiday period is two weeks, starting on Saturday 28 January 2023 and ending on Thursday 9 February.
