Two Corona infected people at the Saxony derby – next floodplain game before the end

The home game of second division soccer team FC Erzgebirge Aue against SV Sandhausen is on the brink. In order to prevent the spread of the new type of corona virus, the health department of the Erzgebirge district recommended that the home game in Aue be held in camera. The reason for the measure is that two fans infected with the corona virus were in the stadium last weekend during the game against Dynamo Dresden. The club itself wants to miss the game altogether. He announced this in the evening in a joint statement with SV Sandhausen. The decision must ultimately be made by the German Football League.

In the case of the two infected fans, it is known that one of the people stayed in the Auer fan area during the Sachsenderby in Dresden, the other in different audience areas. “In addition, the people concerned had traveled to the game with other fans,” the message said. The two affected did not reside in the Erzgebirge district and had since been contacted by their health authorities. The necessary medical measures have been implemented. “The direct contacts of the two COVID-19 sufferers were immediately identified and have been informed by the responsible health authorities,” said the district office. “In these cases, too, the recommendations and notes required by the RKI guideline were observed and all necessary steps were taken to protect the environment as a precaution.”
