Turkish police: bomb discovered at Erdogan meeting | Abroad

The police car was parked at the officer’s home. The bomb has been defused and a major investigation has been launched, Anadolu reported. Hamza Dag, deputy chairman of Erdogan’s ruling AK party, says police delayed releasing the information to avoid a public response.

“As the defeats of the terrorist organization mount, who knows what else, what confessions, what betrayals, what kind of meanness will be revealed,” Erdogan said at the meeting. Turkey has been fighting the banned Kurdistan Workers’ Party PKK for nearly four decades.
