Türkgücü Munich is on the way to becoming the first football club founded by migrants in German professional football. If this succeeds, the club could leave the city for their home games.

FSoccer regional league player Türkgücü Munich is currently mixing Bavarian soccer. After 22 of 36 games, the club confidently leads the table with an eight point lead. If the Munichers are still in first place on the last matchday, they would move up to the third division for the first time.
If this actually succeeds, Türkgücü would not only be the first football club founded by migrants in a German professional league, he also apparently wants to ensure another novelty. The club president and investor is planning to move to the west of the country in this case. “We would probably have more viewers there because there would be more derbies,” said President Hasan Kivran of “SZ”. Club name and Munich home should still be retained.

The club, which does not have its own stadium, would avoid a bottleneck. “I know we’re disturbing in Munich,” said Kivran. Since the second half of the season, the club has shared the stadium on Grünwalder Strasse with TSV 1860 Munich and the U23 team of FC Bayern.

Türkgücü Munich was founded in 1975, but was dissolved in 2001 after bankruptcy. The immediately founded successor club descended into the district league in its first season. Massive investments have been made in the squad since 2017. The team had only been promoted to the regional league last year.
