Tsvetanka Mincheva has been elected Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bulbank, the bank has just announced. Her appointment is subject to approval by the BNB and entry in the Commercial Register.
Mincheva takes over from Teodora Petkova, who was appointed Director of UniCredit for Eastern Europe in early May and is responsible for the group’s business in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Serbia, and partly for Russia. Until the appointment of Tsvetanka Mincheva in the Commercial Register, Teodora Petkova will hold both positions: Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bulbank and Director of UniCredit for Eastern Europe.
Tsvetanka Mincheva is currently deputy. CEO of UniCredit Bank Romania.

Tsvetanka Mincheva started her career at UniCredit in Bulgaria as an intern in 2001. Over the years she has held various commercial and managerial positions. She was responsible for the development and development of alternative channels in the bank.
Since 2007, it has been involved in the coordination and development of alternative distribution channels, acknowledging its significant contribution and innovation in the bank’s retail and other areas, the bank said in a statement. From September 2013 to the end of 2017 he was the Director of Retail Banking and a member of the Management Board of UniCredit Bulbank. Contributes and has a leading role in the development of retail banking, as well as for the implementation of innovations in various areas of the bank.
In 2017, Tsvetanka became Director of Global Banking and successfully implemented numerous strategic and transformation projects.
Since July 2020, she has held the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bank Romania. She has an economics degree and an MBA in International Business from the MIB School of Management in Italy.
