Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President of the United States (US) Donald Trump has returned from the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center who treated him for contracting the corona. He left the military hospital Monday (5/10/2020) afternoon local time or around Tuesday (6/10/2020) morning Indonesian time.
Arriving at the White House, Trump even made a scene. Although there was no confirmation from the doctor that he was negative, when he entered his official residence, he took off his mask and paid his respects.
He even gave a thumbs up to the photographer. As if showing himself okay.
Even so, some media have questioned Trump’s health. Is the former property entrepreneur really all right?
Because in the raw video that hasn’t been edited when he returns to the White House and takes off his mask, Trump looks breathless. For a moment he saw his mouth open and pursed, as if taking a quick breath.

Some health experts also think so. Among them Dr. Ilan Schwartz, infectious disease expert and researcher at the University of Alberta.
“This is (like) an example in a textbook of increasing breathing at work,” he was quoted as saying on the same page.
“Apart from using the normal breathing muscles (the diaphragm & between the ribs that expand the chest cavity), the accessory muscles in his neck are also working to help him breathe.”
He also called the breath with pursed lips a “coping mechanism”. He says this is usually done by someone trying to keep his airway open.
Trump himself was infected since last Thursday. He was then taken to a military hospital on Friday showing symptoms of fever and low oxygen levels.
He was even given a steroid drug, dexamethasone. This drug is usually used in Covid-19 patients with severe and critical symptoms and is not effective for mild symptoms.
Quoted from CNBC International, Dr. Sean Conley said Trump’s condition continued to improve. However, he is not virus free yet.
“The president remains (still infected) with the virus. Treatment will continue at the White House,” the US media quoted the doctor as saying.
He told reporters that the medical team was optimistic about Trump’s health, but still cautious. “We are in an unknown territory,” he said.
He said he would monitor Trump’s health for up to a week. Trump received the antiviral therapy remdesivir for his treatment.
