On Wednesday, August 5, city guards towed the van of the Pro-Law to Life Foundation, which was organizing a picket there against the policy of the city’s president, Rafał Trzaskowski, in front of the Warsaw City Hall. Homophobic slogans were placed on the vehicle, incl. “what does the LGBT lobby want to teach children?” “4-year-olds masturbating, 6-year-olds consenting to sex, 9-year-olds having first sexual experiences and orgasm” (this information is not confirmed by any official data or documents on sex education lessons). There is also an inscription “Stop pedophilia” on the van, homophobic slogans and the words “Rafa³ Trzaskowski supports LGBT ideology and pedophile standards” were shouted through the speakers.

An anti-abortion van towed in front of the town hall. Foundation: Illegally. On behalf of Trzaskowski?
The city guards called a tug, which took a van parked right next to the pedestrian crossing at Bankowy Square. The officers emphasize that they decided to tow the vehicle not because of homophobic slogans, but because it was parked incorrectly.
– It was parked incorrectly. It threatened the safety of pedestrians. It was towed, at our request, by a company working on behalf of the city, Jerzy Jabraszko from the press section of the city guard said in an interview with TVN Warszawa. As he added, the driver of the van will have to report to the parking lot and cover the towing costs, which amount to PLN 117. There will also be handling fees.
The representatives of the Pro-Law to Life Foundation claim that “the municipal police decided to unlawfully tow the Foundation car away”. The foundation’s activists posted their own version of the events on its official website: they claim that “at some point, the guards simply started rushing the congregation participants who recorded the intervention and tried to retrieve their private belongings left in the car.” Nothing like this, however, can be seen in the recording recorded during the intervention.
Did they do it at the request of the Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski?
– Foundation activists ask, adding that “they will not leave this case”.
The same Foundation also travels around the capital from the so-called anti-abortion vans with drastic photos of the fetuses.
