Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem has started the early access phase on Steam and is not spared problems. The rush to the game is great and the number of bugs and crashes is unfortunately too. If Wolcen doesn’t start with you, we will show you the most common solutions here.
Since February 13th you can enter the world of Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem fall. The game combines the strengths of games like Diablo 3 and Path of Exile and is well received on Steam. Solutions to problems in Wolcen
The developers themselves have already released a checklist of things that you should check if you are having problems with the game. This includes the following points:
- Start both the Steam client and Wolcen.exe in your game folder as an administrator. To do this, right-click on the corresponding .exe and select “Run as administrator”.
- Deletes the folders “profiles” and “shaders” from your “User” folder.

Should you of the “Memory allocation errors” error message affected, you can increase the virtual RAM of your PC. This increases loading times, but the problem can be solved. Go down to it Windows 10 as follows:
- Opens the control Panel on your PC.
- Selects the menu item “System and safety” off and then again “System”,
- Then navigate to Advanced system settings → Performance → Settings → Advanced,
- Click below “Virtual memory” on “To change”,
- Removes the tick from “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives”,
- Now click on the hard diskon which you installed Wolcen.
- Should be the option “Size is managed by the system” should not be activated, this changes.
- Confirms the changes and restarts the PC.
