The Lower East Side restaurant was closed late at night for several days after a savage fight over the July 4 weekend – all because of the spices.

Workers at Bel Fries on Ludlow Street have been traumatized after chaos erupted on Sunday morning just after 4am causing extensive damage.

The restaurant co-owner told NBC New York that he had six employees, but no one wanted to return to work because they were traumatized and feared for their lives, he said, as they suffered physical and emotional injuries. .

Said the partner who didn’t want to mention his name or show his face.

The chaos inside Bill Fries began when a number of patrons became irate and violent. the reason? They were told there was a $1.25 charge for an extra dip for their fries, according to the restaurant’s co-owner.
