Media: Leistner and HSV terminate the contract

Defender Toni Leistner, who was released from Hamburger SV until Tuesday to search for a new club, will apparently terminate his contract with the second division soccer team. Several media reported unanimously on Monday evening. Accordingly, the 31-year-old should receive a six-digit severance payment from the Hanseatic League. Leistner was released from HSV last Wednesday. He could not make friends with the role he was supposed to play and should look for a new club, the club said. The veteran had lost his regular place under the new coach Tim Walter.

Werder Bremen rejects offer for Friedl – defender remains

Marco Friedl, who is willing to change, stays with Werder Bremen in the second division. The offer from a Bundesliga club for the Austrian did not “meet the general conditions,” said Werder sports director Frank Baumann, “so that Marco will stay with us beyond the end of the transfer window”. Friedl wanted to switch to Union Berlin after matching media reports and had therefore refused to play in the home game on Sunday against Hansa Rostock (3-0).

Wolfsburg defender Pongracic before moving to BVB

Central defender Marian Pongracic will most likely leave Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg and move to league rivals Borussia Dortmund. The 23-year-old was spotted on Monday evening at the BVB training ground in Brackel, as reported by the “Ruhrnachrichten”. Pongracic’s contract with the “Wolves” runs until 2024. He came to the works club from RB Salzburg in January of last year. This season he has not yet been used for the Lower Saxony.

Möhwald is moving from Werder Bremen to Union Berlin

Midfielder Kevin Möhwald is turning his back on Bundesliga relegated Werder Bremen after three years. As announced by the Hanseatic League on Monday evening, the 28-year-old is moving to Union Berlin. As usual, both clubs did not provide any information about the transfer modalities. But apparently the Bundesliga club met the Bremen demands. “Union Berlin has approached us in the past few days whether a change is conceivable. Kevin wanted to take the step and the framework conditions are also right for us. That is why we have agreed to the change,” said Werder sports director Frank Baumann.

8:11 pm

Hansa Rostock apparently brings frosts

Second division promoted FC Hansa Rostock is facing the commitment of midfielder Lukas Fröde from league rivals Karlsruher SC, according to media reports. KSC sports director Oliver Kreuzer confirmed on Monday evening that he had made a loan agreement with a second division club until the end of the season, but did not name the club. Both the “Badische Neuesten Nachrichten” and the “Bild” reported that Fröde’s future association was Hansa.

Media: HSV before signing Vuskovic

According to information from the Croatian newspaper “Slobodna Dalmacija”, Hamburger SV is facing the commitment of central defender Mario Vuskovic. According to the newspaper, the 19-year-old U21 international will come to the second division for two years on Leibasis from Hajduk Split.

St. Pauli: Beifus comes, Matanović goes and stays

Second division FC St. Pauli has signed up young talent Marcel Beifus. The 18-year-old central defender is moving from VfL Wolfsburg to Hamburg. Both clubs have agreed not to disclose the terms of the transfer. Beifus was used in the last series in the U23 of the “Wölfe”, which has since been canceled, and trained with the Bundesliga professionals of the factory club in preparation for this season.

In the meantime, St. Pauli has sold its young professional Igor Matanović to Eintracht Frankfurt. However, the Hanseatic team immediately loaned the 18-year-old attacker from the Hessians again for two years, so that Matanović – as of now – will only switch to the Bundesliga team after the 2022/2023 season, where he signed a working paper dated 2026.

Hannover 96 sign striker Hinterseer

Lukas Hinterseer is storming for Hannover 96 with immediate effect. The 30-year-old is moving from the South Korean club Ulsan Hyundai to the second division and is given a two-year contract. In 56 Bundesliga games he scored nine goals, in the second division Hinterseer scored 50 times in 127 games.

Holstein Kiel strengthens in the attack

Second division Holstein Kiel has strengthened itself in the storm center with the Austrian Benedikt Pichler. The 24-year-old recently wore the Austria Wien jersey and signed a contract with Schleswig-Holstein until 2025. “He is a dynamic attacker who loves to play and makes us even more flexible on our offensive,” said Holstein managing director Uwe Stöver. Pichler can hardly wait to lie with the “Störchen”: “I want to get here quickly, get to know my team and then play a good second division round.”

This means that Josip Brekalo, who has long been courted by numerous clubs, is getting closer. According to “Gianlucadimarzio.com”, the Croatian is about to sign with the Spanish first division club Villarreal.
