Train passenger stabbed in the face in Rotterdam | Inland

The incident happened around 6 a.m. on a train near the Blaak train and metro station in the center of Rotterdam. It is unclear what prompted the stabbing or whether the two men knew each other. It happened on a train to or from Breda, a police spokesperson said.

The assailant managed to get away after the incident. “There is no longer any danger, the perpetrator is on the run and no longer on the train. Where he is, or whether he left the station or entered a subway, we do not know,” said the police spokesman.

The victim was able to speak and was transported to the nearest hospital for treatment. The police are investigating and looking for the perpetrator.
