Malang Posco Media, Malang – A tragic incident occurred again in the Malang area. Just three days ago a family committed suicide in Pakis, this time a student from Brawijaya University (UB) was found dead on the 4th floor of the UB Faculty of Computer Science (Filkom) building, Thursday (14/12) afternoon. The student allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the 12th floor of the Filkom building.
It started with students and residents around Filkom UB who were excited. After the sound of an object falling quite loudly from the 4th floor of the building, it turned out that a woman fell, Thursday (14/12) afternoon.
One of the UB students, who did not want to be named, said that the sound was initially heard at around 10.30 WIB. “At that time I was taking an exam on the 3rd floor, then there was a loud noise from the 4th floor,” he said.
At around 11.00 he left the examination room, only to find out that a student had fallen on social media. “The information was circulating on social media, then we received information from college friends that the victim was a woman (student),” he continued.
From temporary information obtained by Malang Posco Media, the student fell from the 12th floor. “There are no classrooms on the 12th floor, only an auditorium. “And the top should be quiet and there should be no activity because everyone is taking exams,” he added.
According to information circulating, the student has just entered college, aka a new student. As a result of the fall, the victim was declared dead.
Until now, officers from the Lowokwaru Police and the Malang City Police INAFIS Team are still investigating the crime scene. Currently officers are trying to remove the body for evacuation. There has been no official statement from UB regarding this heartbreaking incident.
