CHICAGO, KOMPAS.com – An event wedding reception be a story of sorrow after a boy male 5 years old were killed because a granite table hit him on the head.
On September 4, Luca Berlingerio of Glenview, Illinois was with his family at the outside The Drake Hotel Chicago when the incident occurred, according to an Oak Brook Police Department report.
Oak Brook Police and the Fire Department responded to the hotel call from line 911, around 10pm local time, according to reports. People on Sunday (12/9/2020).

They rush to rescue a child who suffered a traumatic head injury at a wedding reception.
Upon arrival, police personnel assisted the emergency room doctor who performed CPR on the boy who appeared unresponsive to the first aid.
Footage from the hotel watchdog shows Berlingerio lying across the table with granite on it, which is placed behind the chairs where the boys at the wedding sat.

As the other kids started to leave, the boy tried to slide off the table and grabbed the edge to keep himself steady.
While descending from the chair holding on to the end of the table, the granite of the table fell over Berlingerio’s head and caused serious injuries, police reported.
Berlingerio was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“Our team is grieving about accident this is terrible, “the hotel said in a statement, according to the New York Post.
“We would like to share our condolences with affected families and friends. Out of respect for their privacy, we cannot share the specifics of the incident,” he said.
A GoFundMe was also created to raise money for the boy’s family.

The fundraiser has raised nearly US $ 11,000 (Rp.162.7 million) since it launched on September 10.
“There are no words to describe what it’s like to lose a child,” says the fundraising page.
“We know times are tough, but anything will help.”
According to the Berlingerio obituary, the boy’s funeral will be held on Saturday by applying social distancing.
