A motorcyclist died in Aizpute region on Sunday night, the State Police was informed.
The accident occurred around 1.40 pm in Aizpute Parish on the 40th kilometer of the highway P112 Kuldīga-Aizpute-Līči. The driver of a motorcycle, riding a Yamaha motorcycle, fell from it, was injured and died at the scene. The police explain the exact circumstances of what happened.
Last day, a total of 107 road accidents were registered in the country, in which 19 people were injured, including three pedestrians and eight cyclists, but one – the already mentioned motorcyclist – died, according to information gathered by the police.
