Stuttgart / Mannheim – The Kolesch fashion house has existed on Biberach’s market square for 200 years, but in the current lockdown, even the top dogs are getting down to business. Many employees are on short-time work, their reserves have been used up, and loans have to be paid off. The warehouses are overflowing with goods that cannot be sold while the spring collection arrives. “The mood is catastrophic – as in all shops that are currently not allowed to open,” says managing director Friedrich Kolesch (56).
