Member of the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Police, Bripda HS, was arrested after killing an online taxi driver, Sony Rizal Tahitoe (59), in Cimanggis, Depok. Before being arrested for murder, Bripda HS apparently had a row of black notes.
The Head of the Operations Unit for Densus 88 Anti-terror Police Commissioner Aswin Siregar said that Bripda HS had committed fraud against fellow members of the Police. In addition, he has also committed fraud against the public.
“Lending money to friends, caught red-handed playing online gambling, involved in huge personal debts to various parties and has been given a sentence by the leadership of Detachment 88,” Aswin told reporters, Tuesday (7/2/2023).
Aswin said Densus 88 Anti-terror supported the investigation into the case against its members. He said that HS was arrested by Densus 88 and then handed over to Polda Metro Jaya.
“The leadership’s commitment to support the investigation into HS has been carried out since the beginning where after the incident of the murder, the Special Detachment 88 AT Polri immediately formed a team to chase and managed to catch the perpetrator and then handed it over to the PMJ Resmob Dirkrimum for further legal proceedings,” he said.
HS Becomes a Suspect
HS has now been named a suspect in the online taxi driver murder case in Depok. HS was detained at Polda Metro Jaya.
“The perpetrator has been named a suspect and then detained at the same time,” said Trunoyudo.
HS’s identity was revealed after the police team investigated the crime scene (TKP) at the scene, at Bukit Cengkeh Housing Complex, Cimanggis, Depok City. HS was caught after the police found HS’ membership card (KTA) left in the victim’s car.
“This identity was then followed up, in this case Densus 88 immediately arrested the perpetrator on the 23rd, on the same day at around 16.30 WIB at Puri Persada Sindangmulya Village, Bekasi, West Java,” said Trunoyudo.
