In the spring of this year, it became known about an agreement between Toyota and the Indian enterprise Maruti Suzuki to produce a new crossover for India, which will be a redesigned Suzuki Vitara Brezza. In India, the new model, dubbed the Urban Cruiser, will be offered with a 1.5-liter aspirated engine, complemented by a belt-driven starter-generator. The engine produces 105 horsepower and is paired with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-band “automatic”.
Among the external differences between Urban Cruiser and Vitara Brezza, in addition to the nameplates, a differently designed radiator grille in the style of older Toyota models. In addition, the Toyota crossover can be ordered in a unique brown color not available for the Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
