Andros Townsend got a jersey Cristiano Ronaldo, after the game Manchester United vs Everton. There is a story behind it.
Laga MU vs Everton took place fiercely at Old Trafford, Saturday (2/10/2021), on the 7th week Premier League. The match ended 1-1.
Manchester United took the lead through Anthony Martial’s goal in the 41st minute. However, Everton could reply through the action of Andros Townsend in the 65th minute.
After scoring a goal, Townsend celebrated by making Ronaldo’s signature celebration. He jumped, turned his back to the audience, and spread his arms down.
Ronaldo himself certainly saw it, because he was only entered in the 57th minute. The 36-year-old striker came on to replace Edinson Cavani.
After the game, Ronaldo looks gloomy, and looks grumble. He walked straight down the hall, where Townsend approached him.

“I made it a goal not to leave Old Trafford without a Cristiano Ronaldo jersey,” Townsend told talkSPORT Breakfast on Monday (4/10/2021).
“You see, after the final whistle, I ran straight to him. I don’t know what he was mumbling about, but it wasn’t English.”
“He mumbled in Portuguese, and I asked him three or four times for his jersey. Finally he gave in, and said he would give it to me inside. I had to wait in the locker room, and luckily the kit man could arrange it for me. I’ll keep it,” Townsend said.
A draw makes MU still stuck at rank 4 Premier League standings with 14 points. Temporary Everton in 5th place, with the same number of points as MU but lost on goal difference.
