Almost 200 tourists, including children, were stranded for hours at Sofia airport, reports BNT.
The tourists were supposed to travel to Antalya at 11 a.m., but due to a technical problem with the plane, it is explained to them to wait – first half an hour, then until 15.00.
Another plane was sent from Turkey, who arrives at the airport after 20:00 in the evening and cannot accommodate all passengers.
It was necessary 30 people to voluntarily give up the trip, which led to additional tension.
At this point the other passengers they have not yet taken off, although they have been put on the second plane.
Sofia Airport explained that the charter is to a Turkish company, which had to replace it due to damage. However, once the passengers had boarded the new plane, they had to wait again to get permission to take off.
The travel company has not commented.
