Tourism: Lora gives voice to the tourism campaign ‘A Coruña: Dream in the Atlantic’ | Radio Coruña

The A Coruña Tourism and Congress Consortium presented its new tourism campaign ‘A Coruña: Dream in the Atlantic’ a week ago.

The audiovisual, which lasts almost two minutes, appeals to the feeling of being the capital of the Atlantic of our city and shows a city where you can enjoy the open air, museums, gastronomy or the ocean in a city in the one that revolves around its Atlantic.

A Coruña talent

The Coruña rap group LORA, collaborators of A Vivir las Rías, is in charge of evoking the emotions and feelings that the city can offer its visitors.

Carlos Eirís, half of the group, acknowledges that the call from the Tourism Consortium was not expected, “it was a surprise, we are very grateful because one of our objectives as a band apart from growing and being able to live from music, is to be able to represent our city and our people with pride, and that also the city – in some way – is proud that we do this. “

“The Atlantic is everything to us”

Juan Ignacio Borrego, president of the Tourism Consortium, describes the idea from which the campaign starts “when things were much worse a year ago, it was the sound and smell of the Atlantic that gave us strength every day to move forward.” “The Atlantic is everything to us, it is our garden, our leisure place, our leisure place and our workplace. A Coruña is a city that loves the Atlantic and carries it in its DNA,” he added.

Tourism sustainability

In addition, in the presentation speech of Tourism of A Coruña in Fitur, sustainability stood out among the central points, since it is one of the Consortium’s bets that was reflected in the recent presentation of the Tourism Sustainability Plan to the Ministry of Industry. “From a place where the ocean is our home, we can only take steps on this path,” Borrego said.

MICE and Nautical Tourism

There was also a space for the public presentation of the recently created A Coruña Convention Bureau, which will promote tourism for congresses, meetings and incentives in our city. In addition, the digitization plans of Turismo de A Coruña or nautical tourism had an important presence in this speech with the presentation of the V Bandeira Ciudad de A Coruña de Traineras that will take place on the first weekend of July in the Bay of Riazor and with which the ACT League season will open.

Path and Gastronomy

For his part, the Tourism Manager of A Coruña, Lanzada Calatayud, also spoke of the importance of the English Way for the city since ours is the historic port of this road, and also the Atlantic gastronomy, one of the axes of action that has the most success among the tourist events strategy of the city. “We hope to do it also in 2022 with a new edition of the SAL Festival of Atlantic Flavors that combines the best of our ocean in one of those events that, with great regret, the pandemic forced to cancel,” said Calatayud.
