Tottenham set their price after making initial move for Nigerian winger – EzAnime.net

Tottenham have reportedly made their first move to sign a highly rated Anderlecht winger this summer.

José Mourinho is expected to be active in the summer market, after a disappointing season so far for the north side of london.

And according to Belgian media, Anderlecht winger Paul Mukairu is very much on Spurs’ radar.

Outlet Voetbal24 (citado por Sport Witness) afirma que Mourinho He is interested in getting the 21-year-old.

Mukairu has only been with the Belgian team since the summer, having arrived on loan from Turkish Antalyaspor.

Players like Roma and Bayer Leverkusen have already shown interest in the player, but Spurs are considered pioneers.

The report adds that Tottenham is willing to pay “more than 5 million euros” for the youngster. Indeed, Voetbal24 adds that “the London club strongly believes in Mukairu’s potential and would like to attract the extreme.”

Mukairu has scored four goals and had four assists in 20 appearances for Anderlecht. The Belgian side has a purchase option for 2.5 million euros.

Local media claim a deal will be reached, with Anderlecht then looking to make a quick profit at the forward.

If Mukairu made it to London, he would face competition from a team packed with open players.

There seemed to be friction between the two a fortnight ago when Bale posted a photo on Instagram suggesting that he had trained well before telling Mourinho that he was not feeling fit enough to play Everton in the FA Cup.

But Bale showed signs he was returning to near his best with an impressive 45-minute display at West Ham. He made an assist, ran past the defenders and hit the crossbar with a fierce effort.

And Mourinho is “totally convinced” of Bale’s quality and hopes to start offering more as the season draws to a close. Read more…
